What is happening?
The way you access your self-review framework account is changing.
On
10 July 2008 we will be releasing a
new improved version of the self-review framework online tool. The new tool has been designed with extensive input from prospective users of the tool and is much more
intuitive and
easier to use.
In the new online tool only
one account will exist per school. This will streamline your self-review evaluation by ensuring that there are no duplicate accounts for your school and allowing collaborative working on a single account.
All the data for the
‘wholeschool' account holder will be automatically transferred into the new version of the tool. Any additional account holders for the same school will not have their details transferred and will be required to register on the new tool and their access must be approved by the lead account holder. Once the new tool has been released, the lead account holder will be the person who will grant access to the school's account for any additional staff in your school. This process has been introduced to protect your school's data.

What do you need to do?
You need to check whether the account you are using is the
‘wholeschool" self-review account for your school. You can do this by logging on to
http://matrix.becta.org.uk/selfreview and checking the top right of the screen. If this is incorrect then you need to notify us by contacting the Service Desk on 0845 053 5534 or emailing
matrix.support@becta.org.uk.
You should do this to ensure that the wrong account is not being transferred to the new online tool, as this could result in your data being lost and having to manually enter the data into the new tool.
You should continue to use the self-review framework as you have done previously and enter data into the whole school account, as all this information will be transferred to the new tool.
Timelines
The existing self-review framework will not be available on
10 July 2008, all the required data will be transferred to the new platform and checked during this time.
