This is where you can discuss all things related to learning platform and management information system (MIS). It is an opportunity to share your experiences, give advice and explore new ideas.
If you would like to get involved in discussions or post your comments you will need to register. When you make your first post to the community it would be great if you could introduce yourself to the rest of the community, with a short blurb about your role and your interest in learning platforms or MIS.
Existing subscribers to the Becta learning platform/MIS community will spot that there‘s more functionality available on this site compared to the old version. Here’s an overview of what’s available:
- Discussions – this is where you can post your ideas or ask questions. When you make your contribution you’ll see a box asking you to state whether or not it is a question. This tells other users that you’d like an answer and will help you – and others – to track the responses.
- Tagging – this will enable you to browse for the content that most interests you. It also enables you to classify your contribution so others will see to which topics it refers. (Browse all content tags)
- Document space – this is where you can upload relevant documents to share with other members of the community. You can also use wiki documents which will enable you to collaborate with other community users on a document held in the community. (View the most recent documents from the community)
- Create your own profile – in order to tell other users about your interests you can now complete a detailed profile section, which you can add to and edit as you wish.
- Subscribe to news feeds – by opting to receive regular digests of your favourite areas of the site, you won’t miss out on new updates or crucial discussions.
